    A rare unusual cap shooter by Stevens. It is a 130 year old cap shooter rated 3 star*** rarity by Logan and Best in their book Cast Iron Cap Shooters. Listed on p.176. It is a single shot, single action cap shooter that measures 3"5/8" long and uses a single small cap. Vintage box of 71 caps included ( one cap missing). Used fair working condition, rustic and beautiful patina. The manufacturer was inspired by Civil War cap and ball muskets. Designed with spring, cap shooter's hammer pulls back and the trigger pulls to snap. Fun to work and play with, especially with a 130 year old toy. Someone years later slipped a removable chain on it to make it a wearable pendant. Unique design for 1800's toy cap shooter. Conversational piece, probably why someone wore in as a pendant.
